Colon cancer is a serious problem in North America but it cannot be diagnosed without an accurate screening test. One such test is the colonoscopy. It's readily available in Canada but it can be uncomfortable and time-consuming. Dr. Nayeema Siddiq is a family doctor who specializes in immigrant and refugee medicine. She was in The Link's Toronto studio to talk about colorectal cancers and the importance of screening tests for such cancers, even if they mean missing a day of work.
